Course Contents

  • Our tutors develop unique SCA cases based on real GP consultations and feedback from our trainees and educators
  • The cases are tailored to meet the SCA standard and cover all 12 clinical experience groups
  • The cases are detailed and developed to be responsive to individual trainee’s styles
  • These sessions are designed to be intense and productive individual sessions
  • It is a safe environment for you to be yourself and put your skills into practice
  • There are no audience members, and no recordings made of your consultation
  • The mini-mock is an excellent opportunity to fine-tune your skills and identify areas of weakness before the real exam
  • To simulate the real exam, you will have a 3-minute brief reading time for each consultation and 12 minutes for the actual consultations
  • Timer will be made available on the Zoom platform
  • After each of the 3 consultations you will get an opportunity to reflect and discuss with your tutor how you felt the case went
  • Your tutor using the SCA standard, domains and capabilities date will mark your performance as either Pass or Fail for each individual domain
  • Your area of strength will be identified
  • Your areas of weakness will be explored, and suggestions made for improvement which you can choose to implement in the second and third consultations of your Mini Mock Session
  • We will also give you a suggested format for the SCA Consultation during the feedback

  • Sessions are designed to be flexible, and timings are built around the working GP schedule
  • Regular session slots will be made available for weekday evenings and weekend morning and afternoon sessions
