We are excited to announce our Basic Life Support (BLS) Training, delivered at The Khattak Memorial Surgery in Birmingham. This course is ideal for all healthcare
professionals who want to refresh or develop their essential life-saving skills.

Course Contents

Our interactive BLS sessions cover all the key elements of Basic Life Support. 

  • Learn proper chest compression techniques for adults, infants, and children.
  • Master rescue breathing methods tailored to each age group.
  • Understand the differences in CPR protocols for adults vs. children and infants.
  • Get hands-on training with automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
  • Learn step-by-step procedures to safely operate an AED.
  • Understand when and how to use an AED in cardiac emergencies.
  • Gain confidence in using AEDs through guided practice sessions.
  • Identify signs of choking in adults, infants, and children.
  • Master techniques like back blows and abdominal thrusts.
  • Practice safe and effective choking relief methods.
  • Learn how to stay calm and act quickly in choking emergencies.
  • Learn how to place someone in the recovery position to maintain an open airway.
  • Understand techniques to clear and manage airways safely.
  • Practice positioning to prevent airway obstruction in unconscious patients.
  • Gain skills to assess and monitor breathing effectively.
  • Master the ABCDE tool to assess anaphylaxis symptoms quickly.
  • Identify key signs of anaphylaxis, like breathing difficulties and swelling.
  • Learn to differentiate anaphylaxis from other medical emergencies.
  • Understand the critical steps for early recognition and response.
  • Learn to administer adrenaline auto-injectors (e.g., EpiPen) correctly.
  • Understand how to support patients during an anaphylactic emergency.
  • Practice protocols for stabilising patients before emergency services arrive.

This Course lasts 3 hours. Bookable in AM Slots and PM Slots. AM Slot is from 9:00-12:00 and PM Slots are from 12:30-15:30. To book simply choose from the available date(s) below and follow the instructions. Cost is only £35. BLS Certificate for Appraisals & Portfolios will be provided on completion
